Dr. Gireesh Reddy DPM is a board certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who specializes in diabetic limb salvage, trauma and complex foot and ankle reconstruction. He started his medical journey by completing a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at University of Michigan. He then completed his doctorate degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine with Dean's List honors.
Dr. Reddy completed a three year reconstructive foot and ankle residency at Detroit Medical Center where he had the privilege of serving as Co-Chief. His residency training focused on foot and ankle injuries, bunion and hammertoe surgeries, flat foot, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. To further his expertise, he spent an additional year in advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgical fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During his fellowship, Dr. Reddy trained under world renowned surgeons who are experts in plastic surgery techniques and circular external fixators for the treatment of severe lower extremity pathology. Dr. Reddy also has advanced training in foot and ankle arthroscopy and peripheral nerve surgery including neurolysis, decompression techniques and nerve repair. With over 7 years of experience in the field, he makes it a priority to provide his patients with both surgical and non surgical treatment options. Dr. Reddy excels in making personal connections with his patients and tries to find the best possible treatment plan. His goal is to exhaust conservative treatment options prior to providing surgical options including minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Reddy is proficient in Hindi, Telugu, and Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball, gardening, walking his dog and spending time with his family.
